How Does DAS Equipment Work for Traffic Monitoring?
Different from traditional point-type sensors, DAS system takes ordinary optical fiber cables laid along roads as continuous sensing media, turning the entire fiber line into a long-distance, high-precision vibration and acoustic sensor. Based on coherent Rayleigh scattering technology, the DAS equipment can capture tiny vibration and strain signals generated by vehicle driving, braking, road extrusion and structural changes along the fiber in real time.
